Forestry carbon sink

Forestry carbon sequestration refers to participating in forest resource trading through market-oriented means, thereby generating additional economic value, including two aspects: forest operational carbon sequestration and afforestation carbon sequestration. [1]

Among them, forest operational carbon sinks target existing forests, promoting tree growth and increasing carbon sinks through forest management measures. The afforestation carbon sequestration project is jointly developed by the government, departments, enterprises, and forest rights entities. The government mainly plays a leading and guiding role. The forest and grass departments are responsible for the organization of the project development. The project enterprises undertake carbon sequestration measurement, certification, and listing. The forest rights entity is the party that generates revenue, and greenhouse gas emission enterprises with demand implement the purchase of carbon sequestration.
