Guangxi Carbon Neutralization Company and the Rural Energy Station of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have cooperated to promote the development of rural green energy. On October 26th, the Rural Energy Technology Promotion Station of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (hereinafter referred to as the Rural Energy Station of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region) and Guangxi Carbon Neutralization Technology Development Co., Ltd. signed a development cooperation agreement on the pilot project of voluntary emission reduction of greenhouse gases in rural areas of Guangxi in Nanning.

According to the cooperation agreement, the two sides will select four cities and counties in the first batch of Guangxi region to carry out the development and pilot of voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction projects using rural biogas. With the support of the energy station in the autonomous region, Guangxi Carbon Neutralization Company will give full play to its talent, technology, and market advantages, assist enterprises and farmers using biogas energy to participate in the development of voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction projects, and participate in carbon market transactions with certified and issued project carbon dioxide emissions reductions to obtain carbon asset income, increasing the economic income of biogas energy users. The first pilot projects of this cooperation cover about 65000 biogas digesters in use in agricultural and rural areas in Guangxi, and it is expected to achieve a carbon dioxide emission reduction of 250000 tons per year, equivalent to using 102000 tons of standard coal. The demonstration and driving role of pilot projects will fully stimulate and mobilize the enthusiasm of agricultural and rural enterprises and farmers to participate in the transformation and development of rural new energy, and accelerate the transformation of rural energy to a green and low-carbon direction.

Before the signing ceremony, Tang Liming, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Guangxi Forest Industry Group, had a warm and friendly exchange with the leaders of the rural energy station of the autonomous region who attended the signing ceremony. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on the implementation of the content of this cooperation agreement and the next step in deepening cooperation in the construction of new rural energy, the development of voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction projects, and promoting rural revitalization and common prosperity throughout the region.
